The McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is proud to announce mortgage company Service First Mortgage has selected McKinney to relocate its U.S. corporate headquarters. A grand opening of the new headquarters was held Dec. 6. Service First Mortgage will generate 128 jobs within three years.
Service First Mortgage moved into the McKinney Corporate Center at Craig Ranch Nov. 15, leasing 25,000 square feet of office space. McKinney Corporate Center at Craig Ranch is at an 82 percent occupancy level after Service First Mortgage signed the lease in August. Service First Mortgage was voted #4 among mid-size companies for the Top 100 Places to Work in 2015 by the Dallas Morning News.
“We chose McKinney because it is one of the highest-growth cities in the U.S. and offers a prime location near major thoroughfares with abundant opportunities and access to highly skilled talent with character,” said Shawn Broussard, CEO of Service First Mortgage. “The additional space and access to talent provides the company with resources to support nationwide growth while maintaining the outstanding reputation Service First Mortgage has built over the past 19 years.”
“McKinney is proud to welcome Service First Mortgage to our growing family of companies dedicated to community and success. Their commitment to service is engrained in their culture which makes the company an outstanding fit for McKinney,” said Darrell Auterson, MEDC President.
The grand opening event was attended by approximately 130 attendees, including guest speakers Scott Sanford, State Representative; Brian Loughmiller, Mayor of McKinney; and Darrell Auterson.
The event included a flag presentation from State Representative Sanford to Broussard. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held immediately following the guest speakers and included all city officials and the Service First Mortgage executive team. Lunch was provided by Mellow Mushroom of McKinney.
